Driving in Texas

At Home:
We are slowly getting bolder and driving a little further away from Rockwall.
Still manage to get a little lost, though.
Usually, when relying on Mapquest and it is a little creative with the exit numbers or street names.
But, it is starting to make some sort of weird sense.
Although, one thing that gets me is the law that cars on the service roads have to give way to cars joining / leaving the highway.
It is the freakiest thing to have a car going 60 mph blast past the nose of your car cause you didn't give way (or yield, as it is known here). Now that's a wakeup call.

We got together to play a variation on Poker they all play here called Texas Hold em.
Basically, everyone gets 2 cards and there are 5 face up on the table. You bet on the quality of your hand as each card is dealt.
I've come to the conclusion I'm a shocking player.
Spent all my chips in about 10 minutes and sat back and drank beer watching the other wannabe card sharks.
Turns out there is a TV channel dedicated to card playing and there are of course professional card players.
Somehow I don't think, I'll be on that TV channel.

At Work:
We are still waiting for an official signoff on us being allowed to view secret / sensitive information.
It means we can only look at the very basic of information.
Whilst it is still a fair amount of data to take in, there are certain aspects to it that doesn't make much sense without further detail.
It also means we cannot connect to the network. This in turn means that we can only look at hard copy of certain documents.
And we can not use any of the tools that are used to trace / document pretty much everything.
All part of the rich tapestry that is life...
